#008: Lushsux, Hackatao, and more 🖼

We’re recapping the biggest NFT drops last week:
NBA Topshot dropped a limited release of 76K packs. The Throwdowns Series consists of the best dunks of the 2020-2021 season, and each pack had a rare Throwdowns moment along with 5 common Base Set moments. There were eligibility requirements and each pack sold for $149.
Lushsux finalized an 8-week release of 12 digital art pieces on MakersPlace. He teamed up with the well-known collector 888 for the series, which depicted popular culture figures alongside memes from the crypto world.
Murat Sayinger, a self-taught interdisciplinary released "Ratio," a one of animated piece. The piece is currently auctioning for 2.5 ETH two days after the auction began. Sayinger has previously received recognition for "Best animation" and "Best Original Score" at prestigious art awards ceremonies.
David McLeod, an Australian artist, dropped his collection labeled "Growth Cycles." The 5 different pieces set in perpetual motion are meant to reflect biological transformations and the natural circle of life. The limited edition piece sold for 0.9 ETH in a timed auction.
Antonio GarcÃa Villarán launched a community based project called "Criptoarte 131313" that consisted of 13 artworks with 13 editions each. All of the works were created by Villarán with community feedback during live sessions on his Twitch and Instagram platforms. Editions 1-3 of 3 of the artworks were dropped on Wednesday, with the rest of the collection coming soon.
Ness Graphics, a digital artist who specialized in 3D animation and concert visuals, dropped on Nifty Gateway on Thursday. He released an edition of 50 for $1,500 each, two editions of 25 for $3,000 each, and a limited edition piece in a timed auction.
Hackatao and Sky Golpe teamed up and dropped a collab collection on Nifty Gateway. Pieces were released throughout Thursday and Friday. The two dropped two open editions for $2,300 each, and open edition for $23,000 each, four editions of 12 for $4,500 each, two editions of four for $11,000 each, and a limited edition in an open auction.
Han and Nicolas Daniel dropped AlgoRhythms on Art Blocks on Friday. The collection is a series of generative audio-visual data sculptures. 1000 editions were minted, and the collection sold out within a few hours.
